The second and third installments of your town and county taxes are made payable to Jefferson County Treasurer, They are located at 175 Arsenal St., Watertown, NY 13601. 

The address is located on the payment stub for second and third installments.

The Town is currently working with the Village of Sackets Harbor to establish our own Little League Charter.  Please check back or contact a member of the Parks & Rec Committee.

No, we do not accept phone payments.  Payments can be made via mail, locked drop box at Town Hall, or online.

Your doctor will be required to give you a request for a permanent or temporary tag. Then you bring the request to the Town Clerk’s office and we will give you a handicap tag that the doctor has requested.

The Town of Hounsfield Transfer site follows the same recycling guidelines as the Jefferson County Transfer station.

 

The Town of Hounsfield does not offer trash disposal at our Transfer site nor does it provide public trash collection services.

You can hire a private hauler or haul it yourself to the Jefferson County Transfer Station located at 27138 NYS Route 12 in Watertown.

This is also where you report for jury duty.

Unfortunately, there is not a public swimming pool in the Town or the Village. However, we are lucky enough to have one of the largest freshwater lakes in our backyard though!  A quick trip down NYS Rte 3 is Westcott Beach State Park which has a public swimming area available for visitors.
